Is Social Networking the answer to your recruitment needs?

I am not sure if it's because we are now well into the annual "Silly Season" or whether its the economic slowdown, but lately the volume of e-mails that I get from recruitment agents informing me about their candidates has escalated to newer and ever more irritating heights.
